Diagnostic tools are rapidly moving beyond the walls of the clinic and into homes, onto bodies, and seamlessly into everyday life. Early detection is becoming more continuous and accessible, especially in cancer screening. But with this shift comes new complexity: redefining what “early” truly means, balancing the benefits of proactive screening with the risks of overdiagnosis, and ensuring that more data leads to better—not more confusing—care.

This Salon brings together leaders across clinical care, diagnostics, and consumer technology to explore how we design for this new reality. The conversation will focus on bridging fragmented systems, translating data into meaningful action, and supporting the emotional experience of patients navigating uncertainty.

What we’ll discuss

  • How early detection is shifting from hospitals to homes, and what that means for care delivery
  • Connecting fragmented data into a cohesive, patient-centered system
  • The realities of physician bandwidth in a world of continuous patient-generated data
  • Designing for the psychology of early detection, including managing anxiety and uncertainty
  • How to create intuitive, supportive user experiences that prioritize prevention and quality of life
