Perceptions of sustainability

Customers want more sustainable options, and brands are rising to the occasion with new products that can be repurposed, disassembled for recycling or composted. In a recent survey however, we found that the majority of our respondents didn’t know how to recycle bottles and caps correctly, and have their own definitions of what “compostable” means. The implication is that although we may be designing for specific end-of-life scenarios, we can’t rely on todays consumers to do their part.
